Radical Acceptance

Energy healing, life coaching, and workshops.

We offer individual and couple Radical Acceptance Life Coaching integrated with IFS (Internal Family Systems). This provides a fully grounded insight into your inner world. We also offer Energy Healing and clearing for those wanting to go deeper still.

Radical Acceptance is a collection of practices and tools that focus on accepting ALL of who we are. If we are judging or wanting to get rid of those parts that are angry, anxious, controlling, ashamed etc. then that is not acceptance. When we can accept ALL of who we are, we can begin to experience inner peace and harmony.

Archetypal work uses our inner psychic elements to work with our unconscious new and creative ways. A few years ago we started reading about IFS and it felt like a straightforward addition to the work we were already doing. Since then we have read much of what Richard Schwartz has written and are now using his work extensively when working with our clients. However, we still call this archetypal work.

Energy Healing uses non physical means to bring about physical and emotional healing.

We offer life coaching, not psychotherapy. We do not diagnose nor do we treat diagnosed conditions.

Below are a few terms we use on the following pages.

Terms
  • Parts
    • Think of a Part as an inner person complete with thoughts, feelings and beliefs
    • There are two types of Parts:
      • Wounded Parts (called exiles in IFS) who carry the wounding from past trauma
      • Protectors work to protect you from re-experiencing the trauma, pain, overwhelm, or other painful experiences - held by the Wounded Parts
    • Carl Jung called them archetypes
    • Robert Assogoli called them sub-personalities
  • Conductor
    • Like the conductor of an orchestra, it guides and directs our inner instruments (which we are calling parts)
    • The Conductor is curious, calm and compassionate
    • In IFS this is called the Self, we prefer Conductor as it has less baggage associated with the word
  • Blending
    • When you are not curious, calm or compassionate, a part has been triggered - we call that being blended
