The Authority carries the capacity for leadership. In its functional expression, it takes responsibility for guiding others, making decisions, and providing direction when clarity, coordination, or expertise is needed. When distorted, it can express itself as autocratic control. In this form, it exerts authority through control and coercion, leaving little room for the freedom, autonomy, or participation of others.
