Our commitment

We do not sell, rent, trade, or distribute your personal information to third parties for their own marketing. We use your information to operate Radical Acceptance and provide the features you request. Limited processing by service providers and legally required disclosures are explained below.

Information we collect and why

When you register, we collect your name, email address, a securely hashed password, account role, verification status, and records of your agreement to our policies and optional email consent. We also maintain account security information, including failed login attempts and temporary lockouts. We use these records to operate and protect your account, send verification and password-reset messages, and respect your communication choices.

When you use interactive readings or chat, the questions and other content you submit are processed to generate a response. Please do not enter medical records, sensitive personal information, or another person’s private information. When you contact us, we use your message and contact details to respond.

Service providers and disclosures

The site uses Neon for database storage, Resend for configured account email delivery, and OpenAI to process questions and reading content for AI features. Hosting, image delivery, and embedded media providers may also receive technical information such as your IP address when your browser connects to them. Providers may process information outside your country under their applicable terms and privacy practices.

These service connections mean we cannot promise that information never reaches a third party. We limit disclosures to those needed to operate the service, respond to your requests, or comply with law. We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or threats to people’s safety.

Cookies and AI processing

We use session and security cookies for sign-in and account protection. External media and linked services may use their own cookies. AI features send the content needed for the requested response to OpenAI; provider processing and retention rules apply. Do not treat these features as confidential clinical services.

Email choices

Marketing email consent is optional and unchecked by default. Declining it does not prevent account creation. If you opt in, Radical Acceptance may email reflections, news, events, and offers. You can withdraw consent through your account or by contacting us. Essential account and security messages are separate from marketing consent.

Security and retention

We use password hashing and access controls to help protect account information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. We retain information as needed for account operation, security, consent records, and applicable legal obligations. Account closure requests are handled through our contact page; some records may need to be retained for legal or security reasons, and provider backups may persist under their retention practices.

Your choices and contact

You may request access to or correction of your personal information, withdraw optional consent, or request account deletion. We may need to verify your identity and will explain any legal restrictions on a request.
